With the ever increasing number of automobiles, industries and rapid construction work, air in the environment was so polluted that we were literally living in a gas chamber. The poor air quality is one of the major causes of deteriorating health of individuals in this modern civilization.

However, after the lockdown, the outside air was so refreshing and clear. As per various reports, lockdown has led to much better air quality and lowered the air quality index (AQI) below the permissible limits. The major contributors to the pollution in air were automobiles, industrial smoke and construction dust. And with the halt in everything for a significant duration of time, the sky is clearer.

Much needed space and time for nature to heal itself & other species to Coexist

The rapid development and consumption of resources from earth by humans have caused a great imbalance in nature and ecosystem. The results were frequently occurring natural calamities all around the world. This lockdown has given an ample time to mother earth to heal itself and regain its balance. With the pollution being reduced in air, water and land, the nature was able to regain its sustainability. Many other spices which were on the verge of extinction are now being seen to coexist.

The negative impact of COVID-19 pandemic has affected human lives to great extent. The corona virus outbreak has led to a long lockdown for people all around the world. This pandemic is seen as the one of the most severe that humans have witnessed in the past century. People have been affected physiologically, mentally, socially, economically and the impact is not being seen to be revived soon in the near future. People were compelled to remain in lockdown for many days and the terms like isolation, quarantine became a part of life.

However, we humans have always shown a fighting spirit towards the worst of situations. And this pandemic and lockdown was no different. We have always had an attitude of finding positives in any form of adverse situation and keep moving ahead in our lives. There are many positive outcomes even from this lockdown to cherish about.
